Our Top 5 Customer Favourites! (Food & Drink)

If you didn’t know already, we’re Amici Coffee, a small group of Cafe’s and Coffee Shops based in Bedfordshire. We’ve been around for over five years and have had the pleasure of serving barista style coffee, gourmet food and more to some wonderful people in local Bedfordshire communities. Not only this however, because we also get groups of bikers travelling to come and see us as well as people hopping off the A1 for a pit stop or bite to eat. The point is, we’ve got a good idea nowadays what it is that you love getting from us. So, we thought it might be a nice idea to summarise this into an article for anyone new to see what’s popular. Before reading any further, why don’t you have a guess at what the 5 most popular customer favourites are and see if you’re right. So, without further ado, here’s your top 5 customer favourites…

1. Full English Breakfast 

If we do say so ourselves, we make a fantastic Full English Breakfast, one of the best in Bedfordshire. Within this masterpiece you get sausage, egg, bacon, hash brown, beans, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato and toast. Freshly cooked to order you simply can’t go wrong by starting your day with our Full English. We actually serve this till 3pm so it could be a lunch time vibe too. 

2. Burger Menu

Over the past year we’ve worked hard on perfecting our burger menu with some new additions on the horizon too. We freshly source all of our ingredients local to Bedfordshire so we know exactly what’s in our food. We’ve got a blue cheese beef burger, a katsu chicken burger and halloumi burger just to name a few. We’re proud of the flavours and ingredients we’ve designed and so far the feedback from our customers has been amazing. Come and try one and let us know what you think. 

3. Lattes

Now coffees are our game and it’s safe to say we make an amazing latte, hence why they’re so popular across all our Bedfordshire locations. Our Coffee is single origin, 100% Rainforest Alliance, Brazilian Arabica coffee.

Arabica beans typically contain about half the amount of caffeine that is found in Robusta beans, so our products have relatively low levels of caffeine. One 7g espresso ground shot of our beans, when brewed in an espresso machine to make a single shot (50 ml) liquid espresso, will result in the drink containing about 50 mg of caffeine. A typical medium sized Americano will be made with 2 shots, so will contain 100 mg of caffeine, for example.

According to advice issued by the Food Standards Agency on 14 October 2019, the daily recommended maximum amount of caffeine for pregnant women is 200mg, which is equivalent to two mugs/four cups of coffee. For all other adults, the maximum recommended by the FSA is 400mg, or 4 mugs/8 cups per day.

4. Bacon Bap

A notorious breakfast favourite in itself so the bacon bap barely needs an introduction. It’s a popular choice across all of our locations. We have a brilliant breakfast deal which offers a bacon bap and a coffee for seriously good value. The main question here is red or brown sauce? If you’re in and around Bedfordshire at breakfast time, come and grab one of our delicious bacon baps.

5. Pancakes 

With both sweet and savoury toppings, our pancakes are flippin’ great (see what we did there). Some toppings we do, though not limited to, include; berries, syrup, bacon, banana, chocolate and more – and not all on the same pancake obviously.
